Hi Sarah i just come across your article and i thank you for it.

there is many claims presented in the article and many things are no true at all. i have a book titled Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why by Bart Denton Ehrman, a New Testament scholar at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and its give me a lots of informations about the Bible.

Christian scriptures were changed” its a matter of fact that their scriptures changed and STILL and this is proven by Academic Studies by Christians Schoolars themselfs.
Bart D. Ehrman one of them he is : New Testament scholar at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ,in his book titled “ Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why” page 10 we read [1] :

“ the reality is we dont have the originals, we dont have the first copies of the originals .we dont even have copies of the copies of the originals “

and this creteria apply to the Jewish OT as well.
plus just to make things clear here what we have today :
- the Syrian Version Bible : 61 books
- the Protestant Bible : 66 books
- the Roman Catholic Bible : 73 books
- the Coptic Bible : 75 books
- the Chrismatic Bible : 76 books
- Greek Orthodox Bible : 78 books
- the Ethiopic Bible : 81 books
- Orthodox Bible : 86 books
another fact addressed by Christians Academics is that “Eighty-two percent of the words ascribed to Jesus in the gospels were not actually spoken by him.” [2]
The Five Gospels,” is a 550 page book containing translations of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. It was the result of a six year study by 24 Christian scholars from a number of Western universities. They decided to produce a translation of the Gospels which would be uncolored by the translator’s personal faith. It was decided that this translation was to give the reader an honest picture of what Jesus truly said. They scanned the text for the words of Jesus, and collect an index of over 1,500 such sayings. They then tested the validity of each of these sayings, one at a time, to see whether Jesus truly said each one. They then produced a fresh translation, color-coded to show authentic Jesuit sayings and those of an unreliable nature. Their conclusion (page 5) was:

“Eighty-two percent of the words ascribed to Jesus in the gospels were not actually spoken by him.”

here a lecture :

from my view saying the Creator have a “son” its an insult to his Majesty and Glory. Attributing a “son” to God is equivalent to insulting Him since it negates His total independence, His Uniqueness, and His Oneness.
God is holier and more perfect than such claim.
Jesus Christ was born miraculously by the command of God, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother. also Jesus is a sign of God’s power, where God showed people that He could create Jesus without a father, as He created Adam without any parents. Similarly, just as God created Adam with no father or mother, Jesus’ birth was from mother with no father. All that is needed for God for something to happen is to say “Be” and it is; for God is capable of all things. Adam was created when God said, “Be,” and he to be without a father or a mother. And so was Jesus created by the Word of God. If the unusual birth of Jesus makes him divine, then Adam deserves more of that divinity because Jesus at least had one parent, while Adam had none. As Adam is not divine, so is Jesus not divine, but both are humble servants of God :

Verily, Jesus is as Adam in the sight of God. He created him of dust: He then said to him, “Be” — and he was

The Quran 3 : 59

i find it make sense and logical too its simply mean that He Who created Adam without a father or a mother is able to create Jesus, as well, without a father. If the claim is made that`Jesus is God’s son because he was created without a father, then the same claim befits Adam even more. However, since such a claim regarding Adam is obviously false, then making the same claim about Jesus is even more false. And this is a comparison of one remarkable thing with another more remarkable, so that it convinces the disputer and establishes itself in one’s mind more effectively. He created him, Adam, that is, his form, of dust, then said He to him, ‘Be,’, a human being, and he was; similarly, He said to Jesus, ‘Be‘ — without a father — and he was.
God says in the Quran :
Originator of the heavens and the earth. Whenever He decrees a thing, He says to it, ‘Be,’ and it becomes

The Holy Quran 2 : 117
When We intend for something to happen, We say to it, ‘Be,’ and it becomes
The Holy Quran 16 : 40

It is He who gives life and death; and when He decides on a thing, He just says to it, ‘Be,’ and it comes to be
The Holy Quran 40 : 68

Maryam (Mary) submitted: ‘O my Lord, how shall I have a son when no man has ever touched me?’ He said: ‘Just as Allah creates what He pleases.’ When He decides (to do) some work, He just gives it the command ‘Be,’ and it becomes
The Holy Quran 3 : 47

It is He who created the heavens and the earth in truth. On the Day when He says: ‘Be,’ it will be. His saying is the truth, and His is the sovereignty on the Day when the trumpet is blown. The Knower of secrets and declarations. He is the Wise, the Expert
The Holy Quran 6 : 73

That is Jesus, the son of Mary — the word of truth about which they are in dispute. it does not befit the majesty of God that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! He is far above that: when He decrees something, He says only, Be! and it is. [Jesus continued]: “God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”
The Holy Quran 19 : 34–36

His command, when He wills a thing, is to say to it, ‘Be,’ and it comes to be
The Holy Quran 36 : 82

the same command when God created Jesus : be and he was.

even the Bible claimed that God have MANY sons [ Adam ,Israel,David ,,,] not only Jesus son of Mary ,its stated that Jesus is the begotten son of God ,well its not acceptable to attribute the beget act to the Creator its an animal act , According to the dictionary, begetting has only one meaning : Begotten literally means to have a child through reproduction. Now even if its a metaphor its certainly a bad one and not to be used with God. You can’t use anything with God.

well the sad thing is modern Christians recognize Jesus as Creator [ from my experience of discussion with them ]
can you imagine the Creator born in Bethlehem in West Bank Palestine nowadays?
what an insult to the Majesty of the Creator

from my understanding the Bible attribute to the prophets of God worship idols as Solomon as mentioned in 1 Kings 11 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW) :
Solomon’s Idolatry
11 King Solomon loved many foreign women in addition to Pharaoh’s daughter. He loved Hittite women and women from Moab, Ammon, Edom, and Sidon. 2 They came from the nations about which the Lord had said to the people of Israel, “Never intermarry with them. They will surely tempt you to follow their gods.” But Solomon was obsessed with their love. 3 He had 700 wives who were princesses and 300 wives who were concubines. [a] 4 In his old age, his wives tempted him to follow other gods. He was no longer committed to the Lord his God as his father David had been. 5 Solomon followed Astarte (the goddess of the Sidonians) and Milcom (the disgusting idol of the Ammonites). 6 So Solomon did what the Lord considered evil. He did not wholeheartedly follow the Lord as his father David had done. 7 Then Solomon built an illegal worship site on the hill east of Jerusalem for Chemosh (the disgusting idol of Moab) and for Molech (the disgusting idol of the Ammonites). 8 He did these things for each of his foreign wives who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.

another doubtful story claim that prophet Lot have sex with his two daughters and this not acceptable ,we read from the Bible :

‘Our father is getting old, and there are no men in the whole world to marry us so that we can have children. 32 Come on, let’s get our father drunk, so that we can sleep with him and have children by him’ (Genesis 19:31–32)
The daughters proceed to get their father Lot drunk with wine then have sex with him.The two women become pregnant and eventually give birth to boys named Moab (father of the Moabites tribe) and Benammi (father of the Ammonites).

another story is that Israel fight with God
Jacob Wrestles With God as stated clearly in Genesis 32:22–32 New International Version (NIV).

this not acceptable and impossible to be true.
and yes Jews and Muslims share the same beliefs concerning the nature of the Creator even some stories cannot be attributed to the creator as mentioned in the OT.

It is an article of faith in Islam to believe in all of the God of Abraham’s revelations as originally revealed to them.

One such revelation was the Gospel of Jesus or in Arabic “The Ingeel”, the Good News.

You will recognize the word “Ingeel“, when framed in the term “Evangelical”.

It is true that I, as a Muslim, believe that the One God revealed other scriptures to His Prophets and Messengers.

I see much truth inside the passageways of today’s Old and New Testaments but I realize that among changes due to adding and removing of scriptural Chapters and Verses, often done with political motives, as well as the fact of translation interpretations of various human beings, explanatory side notes having been intertwined in future editions in the main body of the texts, plus scriptural additions 80 years or three generations after the life of Jesus on Earth in the other Gospels, I as a Muslim respect what we have of the existing Bible in the sense that I believe there are remaining truths inside the book from the Lord of Abraham. I can not, however, take it as a remaining direct copy of the original voice of Jesus which was revealed to him by God.

As a Muslim where I see examples, in today’s Bible of extremely vile acts such as Prophets sleeping with their daughters as well as having other men killed in order to be with their wives in the case of David, as acts beneath the station of Prophethood I see the fingerprint of scribes wishing to misalign the teachings of God to humanity.

The same fingerprints which wished to slander the names of the Prophets before such as Noah and David, also wished to slander the name of Jesus and Mary, peace be upon him and her and claim that she was not righteous and he was fathered by a roman soldier. These same fingerprints are also recognized in writings which also claim Muhammed, peace be upon him did vile and evil acts. The same ones who condemn Muhammed, peace be upon him, for evil acts are willing to accept the evil acts mentioned as having been done by other Prophets in their own books! Makes utterly no sense! I reject all of this evil attributed to the most righteous examples of the Prophets of the Most High.

You think that a CEO of a company does not pick the best representative to market his company yet you believe the Most High would allow to be sent as guides to humanity Prophets which participated in the most vile and lewd behaviour and then expect human beings to accept their message? NO I say! No! And Islam defends them all!

Islam defends Noah from what they attacked him as doing! Islam defends David from what they attacked him as doing! Islam defends Jesus from what they attacked him as doing! Islam defends Muhammed from what they attacked him as doing!

I challenged myself to see these fingerprints in the books I grew up with and realized that they were not perfect books, HOWEVER, I still searched for the remaining goodness inside them which still remains. Not all was lost inside them!

For me the Quran and Islam makes whole what was lost, makes pure what was tainted and brings me back in line with the early followers of Jesus, peace be upon him, who never heard of some of the books which are now claimed to be the truth of what they followed.

In Islam and the Quran I found peace and harmony with the teachings of Jesus and the great respect for Mary, Abraham, John the Baptist, Noah and Adam and Eve, peace be upon them all.

In my house my Bibles still sit in my bookcase and I would never leave them on the floor or take them to read in the washroom where it is filthy as I know there is still truth inside them. But I know they have been changed and added to by men so the Quran becomes my criterion and protected final revelation, memorized by millions and never two on the face of the earth different in any slightest way.

about Jesus claim to be God here Ten reasons why Jesus is not God

1. People look like trees and walking

In the Gospel of Mark Chapter 8 says:

22 They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” 25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26 Jesus sent him home, saying, “Don’t even go into the village.”

The story is about a blind man getting healed by Jesus(p). The issue that firstly arises here is that if Jesus was indeed Lord and Saviour as assumed by Trinitarian’s, then how, when he began to heal the blind man did he make a mistake the first time, and accidentally made his eyesight register people as moving trees? A God can make no mistakes, it is just impossible for a God to make a mistake. God need only say and it will pop into existence. Why then did Jesus if he really is God need to perform the healing a second time in order to rectify his mistake?

2. All Authority ‘GIVEN’

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (Mathew 28:18)
6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. (John 17:6–8)

All authority has been “GIVEN” to Jesus by the Father (God)? How can Jesus be “God” if he was “GIVEN” this authority? So before Jesus was “GIVEN” this “authority”, what was he? He was nobody, what kind of God was he before he was “GIVEN” all this authority? If Jesus is co equal with the Father (God) as claimed by Trinitarian’s, why would Jesus need the Father to give him authority if he is God himself?

3. Jesus Is Tempted

The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert. There the devil tempted him (Jesus). 2 After 40 days and 40 nights of going without eating, Jesus was hungry.

3 The tempter came to him. He said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 8 Finally, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 “If you bow down and worship me,” he said, “I will give you all of this.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! It is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God. He is the only one you should serve.’” 11 Then the devil left Jesus. Angels came and took care of him. (Mathew 4:1–11)

Is it conceivable that an All-Mighty God can become tempted by the devil to whom God created; is God susceptible to being swayed by His own creation? If Jesus is God then there lies some issues for the Bible says:

James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

It is so clear here that Jesus (pbuh) cannot be God, for he was tempted to do evil. And God cannot be swayed with temptation.

It says in verse 8: Finally, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 “If you bow down and worship me,” he said, “I will give you all of this.”

God, owner of the worlds, the creator of all animate and inanimate objects, the giver of life and death, the sustainer of all. How if Jesus is God can the devil say to a God I shall give you all this, if you worship me? It just is not possible for this scene to occur if the devil was really speaking to God. It is thus self-evident that Jesus is not God for even the devil knew Jesus was not. Hence why he tempted him with such material gains.

Jesus said lastly: ‘Worship the Lord your God. He is the only one you should serve.’ Jesus made it clear that the only person that should be worshipped is God alone and no one else.

4 .The Father is greater than Jesus

‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. John 14:28

Jesus clearly said that the Father (God) is greater than him. Christians will argue and say: that this means that the Father is greater than Jesus in authority but not in essence. But this contradicts Matthew 28:18 where Jesus says all authority is given by the father to him. Another thing to note is, if they are all co-equal as Christians say, how can one be greater than the other?

5. I can of mine own self do nothing

as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30

Jesus (pbuh) here says it clearly that everything he does, the miracles, forgiving the sins, is not from him but from God Almighty. He does everything by the will of God. If Jesus was God why couldn’t he do whatever he wants, since he is God? Why does HE need to listen to the Father (God) to be granted permission?

6. Not my Doctrine

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine. (Mathew 7:28)

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. ( Mark 1:22)

Jesus answered them, and said the following: My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. He means God almighty. (John 7:16)
So as you see it is clear that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God almighty. The doctrine Jesus taught, which is the Gospel, is not his, but it belongs to the one who sent him, in other words God. If he was God, wouldn’t he be saying this Gospel is my own words, I am God?

7. Is Jesus shy to say ‘I AM GOD?’

You won’t find one verse in the whole Bible where Jesus says “I am God”, Why is that? If Jesus is God, why would he not declare that he is God? Is he shy to say he is God? I mean there are so many passages in the Old Testament where God almighty makes himself clear that he is God, why hasn’t Jesus once said “I am God”? Can I call someone King if he never declared himself to be a King? I am going to show 10 verses where God says he is God in Old Testament:

(A) Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me. (Isaiah 46:9)

(B) Yet I am the Lord thy Godfrom the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. (Hosea 13:4)

© I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me. Isaiah 45:5)

(D) And God said to him, “I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will be among your descendants. (Genesis 35:11)

(E) “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that “I am the LORD your God.‘(Exodus 16:12)

(F) “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. (Genesis 46:3)

(G) “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind.” Is anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27)

(H) And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.(Ezekiel 23:49)

(I) Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that “I am the LORD your God.” (Ezekiel 20:20)

(J) “So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 13:9)

8. God alone is good

As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good — except God alone. (Mark 10:17–18)

In the above verse a man runs up to Jesus and says “Good teacher” Jesus replies back and says “why do you call me good”? Jesus answered him and said “no one is good except God alone”. If he was really God, why would he differentiate himself, why would he say God ALONE is good? He is making himself clear that God alone is perfect and no one else, not even himself.

9. Jesus don’t know the hour

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

It is sufficient to say that God alone knows all matters, and that He is aware of all of which we conceal and reveal. However, if Jesus is really God incarnate in flesh, how is it that he is unaware of the time of the coming hour? How is he unable to deduce when the end of time shall come? So, we can say that he doesn’t know thus not making him all-knowing which is an essential attribute of God’s. How can one claim Jesus is God when lacks basic attributes to even be considered a God? Ever asked yourself that question, that if Jesus is actually a part of a three and these are all co-equal how can the son not know the answer?

10. Jesus worshipped God

Jesus (pbuh) bowing down and worshipping God the Father:

(A) Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” (Mathew 26:39)

(B) He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father,if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.” (Mathew 26:42)

© Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1:35)

(D) They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” (Mark 14:32)

(E) Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayedthat if possible the hour might pass from him. (Mark 14:35)

(F) One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. (Luke 6:12)

(G) He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed. (Luke 22:41)

(H) And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. (Luke 22:44)

Did Jesus just pray to himself? And why did he do this? A God is in no need of peoples prayer, rather people are in need of the prayer. So, who exactly is the creator worshipping?

Jesus says: But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23)

Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ (Mathew 4:10)

If Jesus said ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only’, why do Trinitrian’s continue to worship Jesus? After reading through all of this it is just so obvious that Jesus cannot be God. If you continue to worship the creation rather than the creator you will only be bringing disaster in to your lives for you are neglecting the verses that argue on the contrary to the popular belief. O people, worship your Lord who is One, who resembles not the creation and one who cannot be contained in a particular direction nor contained within a specific place. God is far beyond any human conception.
